Cost and Insurance

SESSION COSTS

For clients using insurance, out-of-pocket counseling costs will vary according to your insurance plan benefits. Contact your insurance company or consult your plan documents to obtain details about the benefits of outpatient counseling in an office setting. For clients who wish to self-pay (not use insurance) at the time of the visit, the cost is $165.00 per visit. You can learn more about self pay costs and your right to a Good Faith Estimate here.

Please note that not all providers within the practice accept the same insurance plans and that many insurance companies have specialty networks that we may not participate in. Please check our provider pages for the list of insurances each provider accepts.

Services initiated, requested, or required outside of a standard session (e.g. phone calls, emails, letters, etc) will be billed at the rate of $165 per hour (pro-rated and billed in five-minute segments) but may be waived at the discretion of the provider. Any action that would require a counselor to clear their schedule would be billed at the rate of $165 per hour that is cleared/reserved. Fees for other services are available upon request.

Payment

A valid credit card must be kept on file with our office at all times. This card will be charged automatically for balances due each night. For more information about how to make a payment, view the make a payment page.

Insurance

At this time, Radzom Counseling is a participating provider for the following health plans (please note that not all providers within the practice accept the same insurance plans and that many insurance companies have specialty networks that we may not participate in-please see above under session costs). Please contact your insurance company to verify that your provider is in-network.

  • Aetna

  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield (PPO)

  • Cigna

  • Evernorth

  • HealthLink

  • TriCare (most plans through Humana Military)

  • United Healthcare (United Behavioral Health / Optum / UMR)

For clients with other insurance plans, the practice may be able to provide the documentation that your insurance company requires for reimbursement of out-of-network services rendered.

Documentation and Reports

Generally speaking, our counselors do not create or complete documentation beyond ordinary medical records. The creation or completion of reports, assessments, treatment summaries, letters, forms, or other materials that extend beyond the request of ordinary medical records are billed at a rate of $165 per hour that is spent creating, writing, processing, and delivering the documentation. Fees for documentation may be waived at the discretion of the counselor and the practice. Insurance plans do not provide coverage for these fees. We are not able to honor every request for providing additional documentation or reports beyond progress notes. If you want or need documentation beyond a copy of existing documentation, we encourage you to discuss this prior to scheduling so that we can verify that we are able to meet your needs.

Cancellation Policy

If you would like to cancel an appointment, we ask that you do so with at least 24-hour notice. Anyone canceling an appointment with less than a 24-hour notice will be charged the full session fee of $165.00.  Insurance does not cover no shows and late cancellations, it is the client’s responsibility to pay. We will charge the credit card on file for no shows and cancellations within 24-hours of the scheduled session. I want to know more about why you charge a no-show or late cancellation fee.
